Dr. Mugford received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and matriculated at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1997. He completed a combined internal medicine/pediatrics residency at Baystate Medical Center in 2001 and is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. He served as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baystate Medical Center for 7 years. During his years as an educator for medicine and pediatric residents, he served as clerkship director for Community Medicine at Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center and was awarded the Martin I. Broder Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award in 2006. He has published articles on infectious mononucleosis and the cardiovascular health of women. Dr. Mugford joined Orchard Medical Associates in July 2008 and serves as the Medical Director of Pediatrics.
